The SLS Group is committed to protecting your privacy and will collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us.
If you simply browse our Web site:

When you visit the SLS Group websites to browse information it contains, you do so anonymously unless you choose to provide us information about yourself. If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the Web site--reading pages, viewing photographs, or downloading information for example-we will gather and store certain information about your visit automatically. This information does not identify you personally. 

This gathering and storing of information is separate from the activity described as monitoring in our Security Notice. 

Information gathered automatically is used for only two purposes: site management and, in the case of suspected unauthorized activity, for law enforcement and possible criminal prosecution (see Security Notice). 

The Web site automatically logs visitor information from which summary statistics are created. We use the summary statistics to help us make our site more useful to visitors, such as assessing what information is of most and least interest to visitors, and for other purposes such as determining the site's technical design specifications and identifying system performance or problem areas.

If you choose to submit a question or comment using our online form and provide us your name and e-mail or postal address, we will use that information to respond to your question or comment and we may use that information from that point on to inform you about other products and services offered by the SLS Group and affiliated companies that may be of interest to you. We may share this information with companies that work for us.You may request removal of your personal information at any point in time by writing to the SLS Health headquarters. Please be advised that a number of promotional materials and mailing are prepared in advance and by third parties so you may still receive materials up to 120 days after receipt of your written notification.

  • We will not share your name, e-mail, or postal address with any third party, except as detailed above or for the purpose of fulfilling marketing and advertising operations for the SLS Group or as described below in our Security notice.
  • We will not create individual profiles with the information that you have provided.

If you take one of the self-tests offered on the site:

If you choose to submit self-test answerws via our website for evaluation we will store the following information which is analyzed automatically to provide summary self-test feedback:

  • The date and time the test was taken in order for us to evaluate the effect of certain events on the general population (eg after 9/11 the post traumatic stress test was taken more often than the usual average and the scores were higher than the overall average.
  • Your age and gender are stored so that summary statistics for certain age/sex demographics can be created
  • Your testscore is stored in order to create summary statistics
  • The session identifier (cookie information) is stored in order to identify users wo repeatedly take the same test and 'play' around to see how the test scores vary. While we do not discourage you from doing so we do not want these multiple submissions to distort the summary statistics we create.
  • We DO NOT store answers to individual test questions EXCEPT for the Post Traumatic Stress and the Parent Post Traumatic Stress Test as part of a post 9/11 Post Trauma study

Cookies

A cookie is a text file placed on the hard drive of a computer by some Web pages or Web servers. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. They are uniquely assigned to a visitor and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie. Visitors can accept cookies (generally their browser's default setting) or decline them through their browser settings. The SLS Group web site does set session cookies and persistent cookies on visitors' computers in order to collect site statistics and for your convenience so that any personal site settings can be maintained
